Now is time to choose!

I’m a long-time fan of British band Muse. Their new album, The Resistance, will be released in a few weeks. The band has organised an online treasure hunt to celebrate the upcoming release. The game seems quite complicated to me but brave fans all over the world have combined their skills to decipher the cryptic messages. After each successful phase of the game, a new part of the song United States of Eurasia is revealed.

So this morning when I opened my RSS feed and realised that two parts of this new Muse song were available, I had a moment of hesitation: would I resist listening to it knowing full well that it was not complete yet? Would I like it? I started listening to the band when I was still in school and it’s not always easy to grow up together: it’s hard to let go and admit that paths are pointing in different directions when you’ve been holding on to something for so long.

But the temptation was too strong and I couldn’t resist.

I’m still reserving my judgment, trying to get used to the new sound while I wait for the entire song to be released but from the look of it, it sounds like our paths are not ready to be separated just yet!
