This photo stood out to me, not just because it was the first in the pile… but due to that silky silver like grey that shines on the skin.  Mixed with a bit of photoshop, it’s turning into something quite different and crazy.

This amazingly purple background sits behind this sharp and evil spikey tower.  Lord of the rings style no?

Do you ever take time to really appreciate symmetry?  It’s a calming thing to see half of something and quickly be reassured by the other half.  Maybe that’s why creatures are all 2 symmetrical halves and then we try to find someone else, as if a symmetrical solution to that conclusion.

2008 ends… 2009 starts

Every year is pretty darn amazing… and 2008 has been no exception.  We’ve seen births, deaths, new historic moments around the globe and despite these photos not being linked with This is Now, they are pure finesse.

I hope you had a great year… and I really hope you’ll all get a chance to look at some of these photos, which unquestionably show our world in the most brilliant of lights.  This has been the first time I’ve been awe struck by how great pictures can recapture a year.

Direction can be amazing when used in the correct manner in any medium, leading your eye out with a perspective to give you a sense of departure or arrival.
